Candice grew up in Port Shepstone, South Africa and showed interest in art at a very early age. Encouraged by her artistic mother she won numerous art competitions during her schooling. She was awarded an academic merit certificate for art 1995-1997 and gained distinction in art for her A level.

Her portfolio was selected the best A level art work in 1997 and was exhibited in both the Durban Art Gallery and the Tatum Art Galery in PMB. She taught art from 1998 to 2002 and designed an advertisement for Unique Metal Works in 2002.

Attended University of South Africa in 1999 where she completed the first year of a fine arts degree course in drawing and painting. She is now painting and drawing full time in the UK.
